ABOUT ME
Hello! My name is Bailey, and I am a recent graduate of the Master of Urban Planning and Policy program at the University of Illinois Chicago. I came to urban planning because I believe that all people – of all ages and abilities – deserve healthy, affordable, and vibrant communities. As a planner, I hope to drive policy changes and create programs that see this into reality.
Currently, I work remotely as a Research Assistant for Housing Navigator Massachusetts, Inc., helping to compile a data inventory of all subsidized housing units in the state, with the ultimate goal of making affordable housing opportunities easier to find and access for people who need them. Previously, I have interned at the Illinois Housing Development Authority (IHDA) Community Affairs Department and at the City of Cambridge Community Development Department. In these roles, I used my data analysis and visualization skills to support the development and implementation of city and state-level plans, programs, and policies. I thoroughly enjoy and excel at creating maps, reports, and presentations that are informative, clear, and visually appealing. Click here to view some examples of my work.
In my free time, I keep myself busy with climbing, yoga, sewing, reading, exploring my (relatively) new city, and my long-time favorite hobby – riding my bike 🚲
